This massive mountain range effectively shields the region from cold, strong northerly winds, creating a sun-drenched haven perfect for leisurely autumn flights.

Flying: With launch sites situated above 1,000 meters, catching thermals is effortless. The countless landing options make it an ideal spot to venture into cross-country flying. Experienced pilots can work the slopes of the Falakro massif to embark on impressive XC flights. While airborne, you can enjoy panoramic views ranging from towering mountain peaks to the vast plains stretching all the way to the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, a reliable, gentle sea breeze often sets in within the valley basin, providing ideal conditions for hours of soaring right into sunset.
